Mayan Ruins of Tulum – The stunning beachside site of a Pre-Columbian Maya walled city.
Chichen-Itza – One of the most famous Mayan sites in Mexico, about 125km from Cancun. Soaring pyramids, massive temples, startling carved columns and do-or-die sports fields.
Natural Beauty
Cenotes - Natural swimming holes and caves all over the peninsula. Most have fresh water so clear and pure that you can see straight through to small fish in the plant life below. The Mayans revered cenotes because they were a water source in dry times; the name cenote means 'sacred well'. Swimming in the pristine waters feels like stepping into prehistory, where giant tropical trees and vines form wild cathedral walls leading up to shafts of sunlight.
Scuba and Snorkelling – Trips for beginner snorkelers through to experienced divers available from all over Cancun and the Riviera Maya.
Isla Mujeres – This laid-back island is an easy boat trip from Cancun. Snorkel with tropical fish amid coral reefs, skim the blue waters by kayak or boat, or windsurf along the shores of soft, sandy beaches. On land, you can tour on a moped. Great seafood restaurants right on the beach!
Explore the Riviera Maya and Cancun
Playa Del Carmen and surrounds – A touch more of the traditional Mexican here, 1 hour on the local bus from Cancun. Stunning beaches, bars, boat trips and good shopping!
La Isla – Situated directly opposite our hotel, this is the nicest shopping destination in Cancun. With restaurants over the lagoon, coffee and ice cream cafes, gift shops and a cinema. Amazing for cocktails while watching the stunning sunsets!
Further along the strip in Cancun (a short bus ride from our hotel zone), you can find the party bars and restaurants area, with a touch of Vegas style.
